Q&A
Q: How long have you been coaching?
A: I began coaching in 2020 as a direct result of lots and lots of personal loss. Since then, I've coached many different clients through a variety of losses – partner loss, sibling loss, divorce, and life transitions including sobriety. Everyone’s journey is unique and I am grateful to have the opportunity to help.
Q: What kinds of clients do you work with?
A: While I specialize in grief, myclients have ranged from those going through career transition, divorce, and suffering from more immediate loss.
Q: How are you different from other life coaches?
A: Life coaching tends to focus exclusively on habit change. And while that can be included in grief coaching, my practice is very flexible and I tailor sessions completely around client needs.
Q: What type of personality do you work best with and what is expected of me?
A: Nothing is expected of you other than honesty! I work best with people who enjoy exploring creative thinking. As our sessions evolve, we might change direction depending on where you’d like to go. And that’s perfectly natural!
Q: Who does this NOT work for?
A: Those who want rigid structure. Coaching is more about exploring thoughts and how they relate to actions and habits.
Q: How is coaching different from counseling?
A: Counseling explores past relationships and experiences to better understand the present. Coaching, on the other hand, meets clients where they are and helps them take actionable steps to develop the life they want.
Q: Does this really work?
A: As with anything, what we get out of coaching depends on what we put into it. Check out the testimonials here.
